Illegal Drug Sales In Michigan

Representatives of the Michigan law have assaulted two medical marijuana dispensaries and made 15 arrests on charges of illegal drug sales.

"This is not Michigan, some of Cheech and Chong movie," The Detroit News quoted Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said during a news conference on Thursday.

The items seized included marijuana bags and preserved the value of $ 750,000, hash oil, other drugs and farming equipment.

The raids came as the Michigan cities to find ways of enforcing the medical marijuana law voters approved in 2008.

Authorities raided on Wednesday night Relief Clinic, a clinic in Ferndale, and everybody Cafe, a restaurant in the town of Waterford which is run after an hour "compassion club. "The arrests and drug seizures also occurred in households in the Detroit area and Macomb County warehouse.

The arrests followed an undercover investigation allegedly found marijuana being sold illegally, often without showing buyers state issues letters to patients whose doctors have prescribed pain relief, officials said.

While about 30,000 people hold the cards or search for them, the Michigan law has no provision for dispensaries. Police fear a wave of outlets where people can receive the medicine incorrectly.
